Okay great I will let you know how I get on.

Can you clarify that plugins don't stop working once the membership runs out or do I need to keep buying membership for these to work?

No, plugins continue working after membership expires and can continue to be updated through the wp updater...

Hi Guys,

I uploaded the sfmessages table and it has made no difference. I also enabled PM permissions for all relevant users. To answer Mr Papa's question I installed the plugin after the upgrade because the previous version was so old it had PM's as standard not a plugin. I still need to figure this out before I upgrade the live site.

I am not sure I can send over the database tables as it is a paid membership site and will contain sensitive data. I just uploaded the sfmessages table should I have uploaded it into an existing table?

This being an off-site 'test' type environment then just uploading the 'sfmessages' table is not going to make any difference. What you need to do to try and re-run the PM upgrade is to 'uninstall' (NOT deactivate) the new PM plugin to get rid of ALL data associated with it. This includes the new tables and, sadly, permission settings. It should NOT remove the old sfmessages table but double check it is still there are the uninstall in case it does as a part of general clean up. If not there - add it back into the database.

Then reactivate the PM plugin. What you are looking for is the removal of sfmessages and the creation of the new tables with the data in them.

If this does not happen then can you check your php error log because I will have to assume you have hit a hitherto unknown condition.

No - that was the point of the exercise. By uninstalling the PM plugin it will remove the new tables. The aim is to put things back to the way they were so that you can try a proper re-upgrade of PM again.

Right I performed exactly what you asked and it kept the old table and created the new ones.
