Upgraded to 5.7.3 Now there's a whole load of mess as the bottom of the screen

Hi just upgraded to 5.7.3 ( I knew I should have waited) and now at the bottom of the forum homepage there's a whole load of mess.

The mess appears after the simple press copyright notice. It looks like non formatted recently updated thread info. The same info appears which appears above the stat's that is formatted correctly. This mess was not present prior to the upgrade.

I'm using the default theme with default overlay "in-the-money" it has not been modified.

The forum appears to be working fine its just a horrid mess at the foot of the page I would like gone. Any advice as to how to fix would be greatly appreciated.

It all looks fine to me. Are you just seeing this as a member or an admin? Have you tried clearing your browser cache?

I see it as admin, guest and ordinary member using firefox, chrome and safari.

I'm not going mad it was not there before the upgrade.

I've noticed the spurious text/link "New/Recently Updated Topics" right at the bottom can be clicked upon to hide some of it.

here's a screen shot.

Curious. that looks like an unformatted recent posts list. I don't see it if I visit your site but that is as it should be as it is not served to guests. Yet you say you DO see it when not logged in. Weird then that I do not. And nothing at the top either.

Try the things at the top of this FAQ - https://simple-press.com/docum.....an-update/

But remember you MUST clear your browser cache between each change as that can display old data

Nice one Swordfish, running the task "Reset Combined CSS Cache" has fixed the issue.

Many thanks as ever for your excellent support.

not sure why the upgrade isnt clearing the cache for a small handful - the code is there... we may have to dig into that further...

It's a real oddity. There were not even any theme updates this time around. As it is only a small handful (that we know of) I am wondering it it might have something to do with what other users may be doping on the website when the upgrade of the forum takes place. Seems to be one of the only variables that is unkown...
