Hi,

My forum is no longer working ever since I upgraded to the newest version. I got a black screen and it said to refresh but nothing happened. Help please.

I see this:
Sorry, the forum is temporarily unavailable while it is being upgraded to a new version.

If you are logged in as SP admin then you should also see something that says 'Perform Upgrade'. You can also do the same from WordPress Admin > Forum tab and follow the prompts.

Where did you get the 'black' screen when going to the forum page or wp-admin?

When you go to http://www.pregnantmatters.net/wp-admin and log in what happens?

When I am in wp-admin and I go to update my plugins for the forum I go to forum and then update. The little yellow bar shows up for a tiny bit then I get a black screen saying error ad refresh your screen and when I do...nothing happens. =(

*******I just figured it out~!***********  What I needed to do is deactivate my plugins then it worked perfectly.

Two questions: You say you 'go to the forum and the update'. What do you mean by that please? Do you not use the WP dashboard/update page?

And - can you send us a screenshot of this mysterious 'refresh' message?

By the way - your 'chat' program is flooding your server with ajax requests...

It looks good to me.

One thing i would do is go to your WordPress control panel > settings > permalinks > and set up a "pretty" permalink.

Mine is using this: /%post_id%/%monthnum%/%postname%/

Go here for more permalink ideas.

If you get an error when saving the changes that your .htaccess is not writable change it's permissions to 755. wink
