gone??  was it there before??

I actually see it - just text vice button... this usually means you are running a wp theme that is loading bootstrap js which stomps on the jquery ui that WordPress uses...

can you make sure on forum - integration - page and permalink, that you have forum loading of js in the footer enabled?

Hi,

it's always been there yes. I ticked the box and can just see two texts of 'add files' and 'start upload'

so you dont mean gone?  but not there?  sorry, just trying to be sure I understand..

ticked what box?  those are the buttons - add files and start upload... as I said, suspect wp theme loading non compatible bootstrap js which clobbers wp jquery ui js which uploader uses... unless the bootstrap is forced to load first...  my suggestion on option change could force that...

if not, would need link to see if its truly the theme loading bootstrap...    a good test would be temp switch to wp default theme and see if buttons display/function properly...

I'm not sure what you mean, it was there and now it isn't.

I had a developer look but not sure we can fix easily:

"upon checking when i disabled the bootstrap their button is working. however its not common to have bootstrap conflicts on other jquery plugins and on this case we cannot disable bootstrap because on mobile you are using a modal for the log in. the forum plugin author needs to make their jquery compatible with bootstrap as it is a great framework that everybody use."

I guess that is on point of reference...  but bootstrap is known to clobber jquery ui that comes with wp...  of course, if no other plugin uses jquery ui, you wouldnt notice it... but frankly, its why wp doesnt include it..

the key is to get the bootstrap.js file to load (or enqueued) before the jquery ui js...  this could be potentially be accomplished by ensuring forum js is loaded in footer as requested before... did you ever try this??

If that still didnt help, then its a very simple mod to the wp theme to enforce the dependency of jquery ui to load after bootstrap js by using the wp api and the enqueue method...  we can help further if that is not clear..
