For now I’ve renamed the plugin simple-press so the plugin will not load. At least the website is working again.

Will it be an idea to upload a fresh copy of simple-press ?

Update 1

Uploaded a fresh copy of SP, but is not working ( broke complete website )

Error message is:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘=’ in /home/ktmco282/public_html/wp/wp-content/sp-resources/forum-themes/barebones/templates/spFunctions.php on line 71

Update 2

Also put an fresh version of barebones theme and now the parse error is gone. So the forum is up and running again.

Now fix the original issue.

Can I place the action you suggested into wp-content/sp-resources/forum-themes/reboot/templates/spFunctions.php somewhere at the top or at the end ?

Put it at the end. Just before the closing php tag. Do remember to use the raw code link and copy the code form the popup window.

With the code the Add Topic and Add Reply buttons are not working.

that’s odd… they are not related… so perhaps still have the code wrong??  or maybe its throwing a js error?? can you look in the browser console…

if there is an error, I did mention it might not work because the rest of the current plupload stuff we use (which WP does not) might need the latest version and not the old one WP uses…

what is your theme doing with plupload on the front end anyways?  is it something you are using??  can it be disabled if not needed??

I cannot see any error, as nothing happens when push the button Add Topic or Add Reply.

We only use upload functionality in the media library, via the admin page and not on the front end. I’ll try to find out if this can be disabled in the theme.

That would indeed be the best course of action. We have ever seen an attempt to load the WP implementation on the public side of a website before. It is not constructed to allow for this which is why we do not try to do it that way. It would be best of it gone…

I’m not able to sort it out, there is no front upload possibility in our website and none of any other plugins does have the option as well. So I’ve no idea how this can be fixed.

On the other hand, it’s not so important to have an attachment option on our forum, it was nice to have. I’ll disable the file uploader in SP. We will upload attachments now via the admin panel / media library.

When you have done that and oif you do not mind, we will come and take a look at the site and see if we can locate the loading point,

Thanks, I just had a visit and can confirm that the whole plupload library is still being loaded. I understand you did not locate what and where but it is happening and using up valuable resources.

Obviously we highly recommend that this be stopped…

Shall I try to deactivate plugins to find out which one cause this issue ?

Found it !

Project Manager cause the issue.

Deactivate the plugin and uploads are working again on the forum.

I’ve informed the developer of the Project Manager plugin.

Thanks for all the help
