Hi,

I've upgraded my WP to the latest version 3.6–es_ES. And then I've upgraded my SP version.

Once I click over Perform upgrade button I get the next message:

"Upgrade Aborted
current build: 9877
{"status":"success","type":"upgrade","section":9884,"response":"Build upgrade section 9884 executing. Status: success
","error":""}"

And no upgrade happens.

I need urgent support.

These can be hard to troubleshoot as for 99.9% of users it all just works fine but every now and then we get a failure like this. So...

If you know how to open the script console of your browser please open it - clear it out - and then re-run the upgrade attempt to see if any errors or conflicts are reported. Most browsers now come with a script console in the tools.

If nothing there then second thing would be to look in the servers php error log to see if anything was reported in there. This is unlikely but you never know.

We have had one or two issues in the past with users who had some kind of http authentication plugin or layer active which can make the upgrade fail. You would know if this is the case and if so then removing it temporarily should do the trick.

There have also been times when another plugin was the cause of some sort of conflict - especially some of the 'security' centric plugins. if you have anything that might be blocking things then again - deactivate while you try again.

In the past, the odd user has found that changing browsers was enough to do the trick! Or - in one or two cases, switching to the default WP theme for the duration of the upgrade.

And finally - make sure that you DO have permissions to update and alter your database table schemas as the upgrade statement you have failed on is a DB table structure change.

See if anything here helps...

Hi,

I've got the next message using the script console

"DataTables warning (table id = 'productTable'): DataTables warning: JSON data from server could not be parsed. This is caused by a JSON formatting error."

It could be the cause of the error? How could I solve it?

Thanks

Well 'productTable' is nothing to do with Simple:Press so I am guessing that you have something else installed that might be muddying the ajax requests.

What does 'prodictTable' mean to you?

Hi,

It seems that it was a problem with the plugin cart66.

I've deactivated it and now it runs.

Great news.
Sounds like it might be indiscriminately passing stuff around in the http request headers.
