Support Forum
Hello,
I am using the Policy Documents plugin and having an issue where if I use the Optional policy text file name, that the policy appears, but it's blank. I can paste text into the field itself which works, but I'm trying not to do that so I can apply specific HTML formatting to the document.
I checked to make sure the file was correctly named and on our server with the right permissions (tried even 777) so I don't see anything obvious. Any ideas why it would be coming up blank? Thanks for your help!
Here's how it looks:
what does it say on forum - integration - storage locations? is the policy docs folder valid? and where you uploaded the txt file to?

Hi Mr. Papa,
forum – integration – storage locations shows "Location Found" and "Write - OK" in "sp-resources/forum-policies", which is the same folder name I have on the server. The file and folder are both set to 777 so not a permissions issue.
Strangely, when I look at the file in Chrome developer tools I can see the text show up in the debugger though it doesn't show up in the Chrome browser itself (tried in Safari and Firefox too and also doesn't appear there).
I can see the Privacy Policy file fine, so I know my folder path is correct in storage locations and it's accessible, but just can't see the Usage Policy.

are other popups showing? if you see it in the source, would guess something in your wp theme has a greedy z-index and is thus 'hiding' our popup dialogs... probably just need to up the z-index for them...
a lot easier to inspect if you provide a link to your site..

Sorry... this was a stupid user error... There was a stray open bracket in my text file causing the html to not display onscreen, hence I was seeing it in the debugger, but not in the pop-up. A good reason to not be doing coding at 2AM.
BTW, you guys provide excellent and very quick support, even on a Sunday. I'm impressed, thank you!
