use Media library for images

Is it possible to add the images uploaded to the media library?
I'm trying to think of ways I can pull the latest images so I can use them in my homepage grid.

Simple:Press firstly breaks the image uploads folder (set by you in the storage locations admin panel) doen by user and then within each user folder it further breaks it down by year and month. We also do not save the various size formats that WP sets up.
But I am sure it would be quite possible to add code to one of the plugin action hooks that could then duplicate images into the standard WP uploads folder. I have not checked but it might be even more straightforward if there is a good API available to do so.
