User Profile Edit Problem

What would cause users the inability to edit their profile?  The "edit your profile" button no longer displays the user's profile at all.  When you click the avatar, the profile will display, but the user cannot edit it.  So strange.  I cannot figure it out.

(This is a new forum, so I may have inadvertently selected/unselected something.)

It is fixed.  An error in theme code.
