Hi,

Forum members can upload attachments but only I as the moderator can see them. Here's an example:

The last post includes a .xls attachment.

Have you turned on the permission for your users to download attachments? Visit the Manage Permission admin section for the sets that are in use and appropriate. That is probably what it is.
