Hello, my setup is such that each forum member's username is their email address. So that is what appears when hovering over the display name. Is there any way to change what displays? I CANNOT change the username being email because of my integration with Infusionsoft.

For privacy reasons, I would rather people's emails are not displayed. And also that the URL path to their profile does not include email either.

Thank you!

I have done that. It is set to: First Name Last Name. Yet still when I hover on a username it shows the true username (which in my case is email).

They can also choose their display name.

Profile link was set to Profile icon. Just changed to display name...

I'm still getting the username showing up.

I don't have any cacheing. Yet I logged in and out just to be sure (on a test user account, not admin).

I changed to display Profile in a pop up instead of profile page and that seems to do the trick.

However, the URL to their profile still contains the email address. I think most people won't notice this but I think it's a privacy risk. What do you advise?

Only the admin sees the email address... Unless you changed a permission which we of course do not recommend... Try viewing it as a regular user...

I am testing as a regular user. The URL for the profile contains the username, which in this case is the email address. Unless I'm missing something...

oh, thought you said on the actual profile... afraid currently nothing can be done as the url to the profile contains the user login name (not the display name) which in  your case is the email...  we just discussed last week changing that back to an id (not the user id) but not ETA...
