Thank you.  Both are the latest versions.  I am a little confused by your question.  I have the subscribe plugin and I have included a screenshot.  Of course members don't have access to this.  I believe the only way they can subscribe is at the bottom of a post they make or in the profiles page.

I have confirmed if you go to a user's profile page and select to subscribe to any forum or topic, when you return to the profile page those choices are no longer visible, making it impossible to deselect them.  Click on a button to subscribe it turns green, update and when you return the button you selected is no longer visible.

Really not visible? Completely gone? (Like your timestamps?)

Suggests either a CSS problem or a scripting problem of some sort. I think we would need to be able to access a users profile record to see what happens and watch the console. Do we have an account with your site?

Since we had the last problem resolved as a CSS issue, let me ask our developer to assume it's a CSS problem hiding the button colors on a refresh and see if that's what's wrong first.  If not, I'll PM you the credentials again.

Ok, our developer had a look and here's what he wrote back.

I don't believe it's CSS -- there is an extra class that's added when you check the circle, and that class is not applied to any of those circles. Looks like a Simple:Press issue, I'm afraid.

So ball's back in your court.  I will PM the credentials to go take a look.  Thanks again for the help.

did you send them to both of us??  I dont see a pm...

it could be a scripting problem as Andy says...  Did you try turning off the 'pretty' checkboxes?  To do a quick test, in your sp theme, spFunctions.php, find or add this line:

define('SP_USE_PRETTY_CBOX', false);

if its in there, might be set to true, so change to false...

I did not send you a pm, only Yellow swordfish.  Sorry, I figured you two talked.  I'll do that right now and perhaps you can take a look and try that experiment for me?  My IT guy is gone till Monday and would love to have this resolved this weekend.  Please let me know if that's possible.  I'll PM you right now.

of course we talk... but we also take very seriously any private or sensitive information that users may send us and do not forward it around... and delete it as soon as its been used...

will try to take a look a bit later today... thanks...

Thanks.  Not sure if this is a clue or not, but those folks who are apparently subscribed, because they're getting the notifications, also report the counters displayed for them always register 0 regardless of their subscribe status.
