getting ready to head over and take a look...
but remember, the count is NOT how many topics you are subscribed to... but the number of unread topics that you have a subscription too... its meant to help you read topics/posts that are subscribed to, but have not read yet...

okay, couple things...
first, that account has no sp admin capabilities so hard to look at things... forum - admin - manage admins and please add all the capabilities...
two, you are using the default theme, but its very much out of date... can you please update it to the latest version from the wp updater???? I cannot do it because of the first item... Are you sure all the sp plugins are up to date???
Third, I can repeat what you say... check items but they dont seem to save... but because of one and two above, cannot do much at the moment... checkboxes are generally working in the profile, just not on this panel, it seems... need to be able to access more...

Sorry about that. I made you an administrator for the site. I added you as an administrator on the forums now as well. I cannot seem to update the theme through the WP update process, it says it's doing it but it always comes back the same version. Not sure why. I'll PM you the credentials for the FTP. Maybe you can determine why.
I cannot tell that ftp is actually working... I cannot use those same credentials outside of wp in an ftp client to connect... but might just not know the host...
does upgrade anything work in wp? your wp is out of date and you have about 12 other plugins/themes needing updates...
also, you are running wp super cache... or at least were at one time and still have it in an indeterminate state... looks like you removed the plugin, but left the drop in part of the plugin behind... go to wp-content on your server and remove the advanced-cache.php file... just to be sure you have fully removed cache functionality...
as to subscriptions, seems you have a serious error going on... at some point, it appears an upgrade did not run... you have this in your error log:
May 10, 2014 6:39 pm | spaErrError | 1 | databasefile: /problem-with-post-edit-buttonome/wpsaudio/public_html/wp-content/sp-resources/forum-plugins/subscriptions/sp-subscriptions-plugin.php
line: 225
function: sp_subscriptions_do_member_add
error: Unknown column 'forum_subscribe' in 'field list'
UPDATE wp_sfmembers SET forum_subscribe='', subscribe='', subscribe_digest=0 WHERE user_id=7107
that shows your db does not have the proper configuration - ie columns are missing... can you look in your db at the sfmembers table and see if there is a forum_subscribe column?
you also have a similar error with the posts_rated column? is it there?
if they are not, you will need to either add manually or you could uninstall the two sp plugins (NOT sp itself) and then reactivate the plugins and see if the needed tables get created.. problem with that reinstalling those plugins is that current data would be lost...

Thanks. That did it. We uninstalled and reinstalled the plugins. The database got the tables back, and now the subscriptions sort of work. There's still no list to subscribe to and unsubscribe from in the user's profile, but if you go to options and subscribe when you write a post, that seems to be working. And you can unsubscribe.
We'll let the database populate a bit and see what happens.
you will need to enable forum subscriptions (off by default) on forum - components - subscriptions...
