It would probably be better for you to add the change to Reboot itself rather than your child theme.
The next version of Reboot will contain the fix so when that's released and you update, your version will then contain the fix and your child theme can remain just changing the elements you want it to change, not fixing things!
Leaving it out the child theme and putting it in the parent also means that if we find a better way of fixing it up than the method above, you don't then have to remove this method and replace it with the new one.
