I am trying to embed a YouTube video and I used the embed code and inserted it through the HTML option in the post and when I hit upload the video disappears and never shows up in the post. It is like the code gets erased. Is there another option to upload video to a post or am  missing something when it comes to adding a video to a post.

just paste the url into the post... let wp oembed handle all the embed stuf... if you embed an iframe object it gets stripped since its a big security risk...
