When I view the version build details link on my Wordpress update page, this message comes up:
Warning: call_user_func() [function.call-user-func]: First argument is expected to be a valid callback in /my site/wp-includes/functions.php on line 2117
I'm just wondering if this update is safe for download and won't break any functionality on my site or should I wait until the next update?
I need to check this with Steve (who is on the road but will be looking in at some point later). I DO know there was a problem of some sort in 5.4.0 looking at the update details but I am unsure what the actual scenario and message were. This is almost certainly what you are seeing I am just, as I say, unsure.
I don't see that there should be any connection with this and the actual update however which are two very separate operations. As a quick database backup is always recommended anyway... !

dang, lost another post by email - had replied last night...
Andy is right, 5.4.1 should correct this warning... certainly it wont hurt to update... we have been running it here for months and have couple thousand downloads of the new version since its release less than a week ago...
