Support Forum
I am having an intermittent problem with the way the forum is displaying. This is a screenshot of what it should look like and what it looks like when it goes weird.
I had a member complain that this happened to her several days ago when she was using Internet Explorer 9 but I couldn't recreate the problem at that time. However it happened to me today using Firefox 11.
This is a private website and forum and the forum has been working perfectly fine up till now. This is the first time I experienced the problem today. The page displayed as normal until I tried to click on a topic and then it went all screwy and then I kept being redirected out of the wp admin to the home page. I eventually logged out and then logged back in and everything is fine again.
The only change that has happened recently is that last Monday I updated to wp 3.3.2. But that was two days ago and I'm constantly in and out of the forum and this is the first time I've seen this happen.
Any help pointing to a solution would be appreciated.
Thanks
not really sure what I am looking at in the image... is the top what you are calling normal? and the bottom what you call the intermittent?
have not seen or heard of anything like that... anything in the error log when it occurs?

Yes, the top is normal, the bottom is weird and chopped up.
The only thing in the error log is a whole page of this error
file: /simple-press/sp-api/sp-api-timezone.php
line: 29
function: Unavailable
Notice | date_default_timezone_set() [function.date-default-timezone-set]: Timezone ID 'UTC -5' is invalid
Additionally, I don't think updating to wp 3.3.2 has anything to do with this - a member reported this problem two days before I updated. The only thing I did previously was update my wp-eMember plugin and I just checked and realized that this was updated the same day that the problem was first reported. I'll go over to their forum and see what they have to say.
that is just a notice and certainly not the problem here... agree nothing to do with 3.3.2 since we have thousands of folks running on that... if you go to your wp settings and change to a real time zone instead of utc offset, that notice (note its not an error) will go away... that has been improved to not throw the notice in the next version, btw...
we had another user no too long ago that had an issue with e-member so would be interested in what you find... but odd it would be so intermittent...
