I tried to embed a very small image into a post, but it still gets a (miniscule) thumbnail generated for it.
At only 300 or so px across I'd expected it to just show up in the post - is there a way to ensure images are just embedded without the mouse zoom icon.? (it's here - http://www.jockrock.org/forums.....ds/#p24252 - I was actually trying to embed code but couldn't stop it actually executing the href as the usual
forum - options - content settings... the image enlargement section...

actually - and I should probably start a new topic, but I think I may be going over quota... I don't know whether you looked at the link in the post above? It seems to be ignoring formatting - returns etc (codes are supposed to be on a new line of their own). Not sure if there's some setting missing. (Edit, in case you saw this - enabled "Use the integrated editor options toolbar")
I installed tinyMCE but - while I'm not sure which editor is which - I don't think it's showing up. Wondered if maybe the theme was too narrow, or something like that?
I am not really sure what it was you were trying to do. The 'Select Code' thingy is there to be backward compatible with much older versions of SP (i.e., posts in older databases) and was specifically intended for the html 'code' tag which is supposed to be used for program code. But it also covers those times when a user DOES use the 'code' tag in a post to protect the rest of the post.
But - all the same - this was really superseded by our support for the Syntax Highlighting plugin which is the best method for including program code in a forum post.
The problem, of course, is that HTML 'code' in post content can start to disrupt the display. You can bot allow it to be displayed as html but need to protect the rest of the post and show the html code part as raw code.
But - as I say - I am not sure what it was you were dong as I see no 'code' tag....

ta - I was probably expecting something else from 'Select Code' - I'd install the Syntax plugin, but this was really a one-off.
(Have also established - I think - that Bandcamp won't work within WP (except via iframe) or SP, even if you install Jetpack. Will just restrict user posts to Soundcloud I think)
