Dear Sir,

When I try to add a new post , the post editor doesn't show up in Google Chrome.

But it will show up when I use IE to broswe it.

My wordpress version is 3.4.2

Simple-press version is 5.1.4 build 9150

TinyMCE  version is 1.2

Please refer the attachment file.

Any configuration need to be set up for Chrome ?

Thank you~

The most common reason is that there is some sort of javascript conflict - maybe in this case with the webkit JS engine. But I must say that it is rare for there to be such a problem in just Chrome.

Can you open the Chrome developers tools and turn on the script console. Clear it and then try opening the editor to see if it reports any errors or problems?

Hi, Yellow Swordfish,

I try to open the Chrome developer tools.

There is some error message in the script console.

When I post the error message in to this reply,

I can't submit reply.  So I upload it to be a image.

It's as follow.

That is coming fro something called 'WP-dTree'. If you know what that is it would be worth deactivating it briefly to see if that frees up the editor under Chrome.

Hi,

WP-dTree is a plug-in which I use to manage my side bar and categories.

I need to re-edit my categories to display correctly.

I will try to deactivate it and feedback later.

Thank you.

Hi,

I found that the character code I set in TinyMCE  was wrong.

It should be "tw" for traditional chinese word.

But I set the value to "zh-tw".

So TinyMCE can't find the correct  character code.

When I fix it, it works !!

Thanks for teaching me how to trace the error in chrome.

Thanks for you kindly help.  ^_^

Ah good find. Sadly TinyMCE (like plUpload as well) has it's own localisation technique which is different from WP.

Odd that this should only be an issue with Chrome however.
