Support Forum
Greetings,
Occasionally, I receive a "500" error when trying to view a topic while logged in. If I am not logged in, the page shows without error. The only way to "repair" the site so the topics are viewable while logged in is to inactivate all the Wordpress plugins and reactivate them one at a time, Simple:press first.
I am running version WP 4.2.3, Simple:press 5.5.8. I have most of the available Simple:press plugins activated. This problem also occurs when I update Wordpress plug-ins, unless I inactivate all of them and reactivate them one at a time beginning with Simple:press.
Do you have any idea where I should look to begin resolving this problem? I manage three other sites with similar setups with no problems at all with white screens. The other sites are on a different host.
Respectfully,
Mike Corley
500 errors are internal server errors... and not much info to go on... have you checked the php error log for more info that might be useful?
are you running any plugins that treat admins or users any different? in other words, give them more capabilities when logged in?
any caching plugins or CDN?
Did this just start happening or has it been issue for a while?
do you have link to site so we can check for obvious issues?

Greetings,
Thank you for your response. I did not see anything in the php error logs that might cause the problem. The only plug-in that I was running that is different for users and admins was the Quick Toolbar; however, I inactivated it. I am not using any cache program. The problem has happened since I installed the site and loaded up plug-ins. Here is a link to the site: http://www.protrak.org.

Nothing obvious jumps out looking at whats loaded... tons of javascript though especially from wp photo album plugin... and some comments refer to user or non user stuff loaded... so maybe does something diff?
so this is just from a simple viewing of the topic view page? not on any button action or other?
few warnings from facebook actions, but dont think anything critical...
anything more you can provide about when it happens? for example, on topics with images? or other criteria? or does it 'randomly' happen on the same topic view page?
