why does the forums appear in my footer widgets its very odd here is the screen shot

I've never seen that before!

It's possible Andy or Steve might know what's happening there but in the meantime, are you running any widget related plugins that might be responsible?

Is this happening just on the forum page - just shown below it - the mage doesn't show me that? If that IS the case then please see this FAQ:
