Currently the simple press widget only gives feeds to the particular topic ids and so forth entered in the options. I was hoping it could do so for all topic created in the fourm.

Feeds? Optional topic ID's? Sorry - what are you referring to?
If you mean the Recent Posts widget then that will provide list of new topic posts to all of the forums that the current user has permission to see. There again it doesn't seem to have an entry for topic ID's so back to the original question? What are you talking about here please?

I am talking about the widget, mine allows for the Forum IDs: to be entered. However, i assume it means topic ids because my forums do not have ids they have slugs. And instead of topics i would rather prefer to have the recent posts show all topics from a particular forum

it means Forum IDs as it says., You can get the forum IDs from the Manage Groups and Forums admin panel. This is intended simply as a way for a forum admin to filter the returned list.
Otherwise - it DOES show posts from ALL topics belonging to forums that the current user of the forum has permission to view. As I said before.

Thanks, but all my forums are with words/permalinks, I dont want to sound silly but which part of it shows me the id? or is the permalink the id?
