I've searched around this forum and found a few posts regarding Buddy Press and Simple Press. I am very green with Buddy Press and just barely competent with Simple Press, so I have to ask a couple of dumb questions before I waste a lot of time trying to figure it out on my own.
(1) Can I choose to use Simple Press instead of the BB Press that BP seems to want me to use?
(2) If so, will Simple Press work seamlessly with BP?
(3) Should I uncheck the "Discucssion Forum" option on the setup? (It says "Powered by BB Press")
(4) Is there a codex about this?

simple press does work with buddypress - we have quite a few users using both... the integration wont be total and perfect but not sure what you mean by seamlessly...
yes, I think you should uncheck that option...
no we dont have a codex about buddypress - sorry, we dont use it... ask questions if needed, or search our forum here as multiple buddypress topics exist...
