Wordpress User Session Not Carrying Into The Forum?

OK, this used to work just fine. Now, it doesn't. I'm assuming the problem started back when I upgraded from 4.x to 5.x, but I'm not quite sure.

Anyway, it is a Wishlist Member powered site with latest version of Simplepress installed for member forums. When a member is logged in, they can visit the main forum homepage (and see the list of forums).

BUT...

The moment the member clicks on any forum or thread - pretty much anything - they get access denied and it somehow reverts to a guest profile. It is as if the user session works fine on the forum home, but gets lost when the person clicks on anything. And, because SimplePress thinks they're a guest, it doesn't show any content.

I had Wishlist protection on for the forum, and on SimplePress 4.x, it was all working fine. Today, the forums were being caught by the Wishlist redirect to the login (understandable since it think they're a guest, all of a sudden). So, I turned OFF Wishlist protection to see what happened, and that's what made it obvious that SimplePress is simply forgetting who the heck they are when they click on anything.

I can't figure this out. I already went through the instructions on making Wishlist and SP work together and, to my knowledge, everything is right.

For what its worth, forum is at:

http://www.blogmarketingacadem.....ard/forum/

But, you'll be a guest when you get there. Usually, it would know who they are because they'd be logged into Wishlist already.

so lets start back at the start...  you say they were working together (which btw, sp and wil work well together and used by many folks including us and wishlist)...  you said 4.x...

are you saying that they stopped working immediately after upgrading?  or with 5.x did they ever work.  and they suddenly stopped working? would indicate a change of some sort...

and if you turn off wishlist everything goes back to working?

Everything was most definitely working fine on version 4.x.

Did upgrading to 5.x break it? That's what I suspect. The forum hasn't had any activity in over a month, and I believe it was in May when I did the upgrade. Seems pretty coincident.

I can't completely know if there were any posts after the 5.x upgrade because, even as an admin user, I can't even get in there to check most recent posts. It even thinks I'm a guest user when I try. I can only view the forum homepage.

And, I turned off the protection of the page where the forum is integrated, and it still doesn't work. I have not tried de-activating Wishlist altogether because this is an active membership site and didn't want to screw something up.

Ah, jeez, you're right. I changed the domain and put in a redirect. That's the problem. Let me figure out how to change that here...

How do I change the domain for SimplePress? The WP settings are showing the new domain, but SP is still linking to itself using the old one.

OK, think I got it. I ended up manually changing the sfpermalink option in PHPMyAdmin. No idea if you guys had some other way to do that, but I couldn't find it.
