Hey guys,
This "forced upgrade" of WP with SP 5.6.5 isn't very cool (nor was it well advertised on the Plugin dashboard, now forcing me to rollback to a snapshot from this morning...)
Why are you forcing everyone to move to WP 4.5 for this? The changes in there are not so serious as to require those of us one minor version behind to update already.

I am unsure just what you mean by 'forced upgrade'. Nobody has forced, coerced or even, actually, recommended that you upgrade.
We released 5.6.5 because WP released 4.5 and there are, in fact, dependencies which simply means if you upgrade to WP 4.5 you will need SP 5.6.5. That seems clear enough. Our blog post stated quite clearly that 5.6.5 required WP 4.5. It would be nice if WordPress advertised dependencies in the plugin list, but they do not.
However, at the end of the day, upgrading any plugin is entirely optional. You are free to ignore updates. You seem to be suggesting that you are ignoring updating to WP 4.5 so the same applies to any other plugins.
