WP Admin and Editor Roles Not Given Any Editing Functionality

Users assigned admin and editor roles in WP have no editing capabilities. To edit the forum, I've given an Author admin rights and everything works fine, but anyone assigned as an admin or editor and given forum admin rights cannot effectively use the toolset and cannot edit.

Any help?

SP has their own permissions and capabilities... the wp roles have no effect... forum- admins - manage admins for sp admin capabilities...

any sp admin or sp moderator can use the forum tools... you say they cant, so please provide more details as to what you mean or what you see occurring...

I've written in previously about problems getting the edit and toolkit buttons to work.

Initially, I thought it was all WP roles that had the non-functioning problem. Then I chose one WP user and began changing their WP role and assigned that user SP Admin privileges. From Subscriber through Contributor to Author, no problem using the SP tools. SP Admin worked perfectly. However, when I then changed the WP user role to Editor, the tools stopped working completely. This is also the case with WP admin, except for one edit I could do the morning after I installed SP. WP Admin as SP Admin didn't work before that one edit and it hasn't worked since.

I've been through the SP settings many many times trying to find a setting error, but haven't found one that fixes the problem.

Love the product, but the logging in and out to work it is a real PITA.

Thanks.

Well sorry but as expected after reproducing your tests I am completely unable to replicate this behaviour. There is also no reason why it should be so as we take no interest in WP roles unless for new registrants mapped to roles when first placed into a user group.

So - what about any other third party effect? Any membership plugins, registration plugins - anything like that?
