Installation was successful, forum page created and linked. Forum page is blanked unless the "" option is checked.
Now the page displays the forum and functions (members, sign in, etc) but it appears a little distorted and "squished". Please advise.

In your WP theme stylesheet - style-default.css - there are some table, td and tr CSS directives that are responsible.
I would suggest you comment them out initially to see if (a) the forum looks better and (b) ensure they have no effect on the rest of your site.
