Support Forum
I was testing the following plugin which works well on the main WP site. But the blog linked forum topics show nothing where I would expect the video to be displayed/embedded.
Link to the plugin:

From Options I have disabled shortcode filtering (if disabled ALL WP shortcodes will be passed). note I also tried with it enabled and 'youtube' on one of the lines.
Any ideas why this one is being ignored/blocked by simplepress? Any way to allow it through?
sorry, never heard of that plugin... how do you it add it to a wp blog post? is it a shortcode you put in the post? (asking because not entirely sure its clear from your post though it seems indicated so)..

I've made quite a few support questions lately so I apologize for that but of course appreciate the constant and consistent help - many thanks.
Going back to the issue.. I have made a few step by step examples which hopefully make it clear what I am talking about.
Step.1 - click the video tab in the new post toolbar:
Step.2 - popup appears, paste in the video url and select options if necessary, then click insert shortcode:
Step.3 - The shortcode from step2 now appears in the post body:
Step.4 - The linked forum topic is created/updated but nothing is displayed where we would expect to see the embedded video
Step.5 - When editing the forum topic we ARE able to see the short code, so it is there but it just does not appear
OK - as you have already discovered I am not that good or knowledgeable about video embedding so I will need to discuss!
Not totally sure of the point of using a plugin for YouTube, Vimeo etc., when WP handles then natively using oEmbed but that's your call.
Can you by any chance give me a link to a forum post where this happens - like the one in the image above? It may, possibly, be useful to see if anything is getting carried across.

The reasons that I started using this plugin were mainly due to embedded videos in WP not being properly responsive. When I had a video presented properly for PC I had problems showing it correctly on mobile devices. This plugin seems to not only adjust the width but also proportionately adjusts the height so you never get that stretched look. On top of this the plugin supports a variety of video sites including vimeo, youtube, liveleak and more.
Sure - the blogpost link is here: http://body-builderz.com/bicep.....k-building
(Try checking the screen size or using different devices to see how it looks)
The corresponding forum post is here: http://body-builderz.com/forum.....k-building
If you guys could implement the same kind of mechanism that this plugin uses, you could be on to a winner
well the iFrame with the video link is actually being carried across to the forum post. It is being impeded by the video plugin's own CSS - in particular this rule in the '.arve-embed-container' class:
position: relative;
remove that and it shows up although the aspect ration is not yet correct. I will need to do some testing to see how we may be able - if possible - to counter that CSS ruling,
