WP Update broken by spa-admin-updater.php

Strange.  A few minutes ago all was fine then when I click Check Update, I get errors:

 

Warning: SimpleXMLElement::__construct() [simplexmlelement.--construct]: Entity: line 231: parser error : Opening and ending tag mismatch: version line 228 and theme in /wp-content/plugins/simple-press/sp-startup/admin/spa-admin-updater.php on line 20


and so on, up to a Fatal error at the end.

Whew. I hate being the only one stuff like this happens to.

Same thing here. I run a multisite installation. Went to Network Admin, clicked on Plugins, clicked on Add new, went to upload a new plugin (not forum related) and poof! Screen filled with error messages, same as above.

Something's broke. Here's a screenshot:

fixed... error in xml version file... didnt mean to write it out yet...  sorry, but guess the release is available now...

sorry for the trouble... was updating the xml file and was not done, but somehow I hit save which wrote it to the server...embarassedeek

Ahh, so that's what happened yesterday when I seen all those errors for simplepress while my database repair was running! surprised Thanks for the update wink
