WPML plugin not compatible with Simple:Press?

I've been trying to install the translation WPLM plugin but it crashes the site.  The developers of that plugin say it may have something to do with Simple:Press or one of it's plugins.

By any chance, do you know the plugin?  Have you had any other user having this issue?

Thanks and best regards

Hi to all!

It turns out there's no conflict between Simple:Press and WPML pulgin laughlaughlaughlaugh!!

The conflict is with the Visual Composer plugin.

*Sorry for the "crashing" term... I don't know the exact term, but when I activate WPML the site doesn't load, it stays "loading" forever.  But it turns out to be just with two pages, where I have the Simpe:Press tool "Recent post grid" (which unfortunately I have in the Home and in my "Magazine" that has 100+ entries...).  Other pages, including my Forum load correctly :).

Thanks anyway for (as always) your quick response and the intention to help!!!

Best regards

sorry, what is the "simple press tool recent post grid"?  do you mean our recent posts widget? or recent posts template tag?

and how does the visual composer plugin enter into the equation?? what does that plugin do?

I'm sorry!!  It's the Visual Composer tool "recent post grid".

I was advised by the WPML people to deactivate/activate all my plugins to see which one was conflicting, they suggested it might be Simple Press, but it wasn't.

Visual Composer is a design plugin to edit the post and pages, and that's the one conflicting with WPML. Just wanted to let you know that there is no issue with Simple Press :)

Interesting, I will try next week if I can create a bilingual Forum.

I played a bit and although it is no problem to install the Forum on a bilingual site it is not possible I think to click a language button and see the Forum interface switch language

WPML creates a 2nd page of each page where you can place a translation. However you can't install the Forum on 2 pages (eg. ... interface NL and interface UK) using the same database.

The language can be switched with our Language/Theme selection plugin but it does, of course, only apply to the prompts, labels, buttons etc... not the actual post content.
