I currently run the Wordpress SEO plugin by Yoast on a Genesis theme. I am having difficulty overriding the plugin for Forum specific pages and have not been able to find someone with a similar problem in this forum as well as the Genesis community.

I am hoping to push logic that overrides Yoast when the page id is equal to that of the forum. Do you have any ideas on how to approach this problem?

Thanks as always for your help.

Thanks for passing along the link. I had found that in my search but was not able to get the solution working for my site.

My main issue is that a single title tag is being applied to each page within the forum. I believe it is due to a conflict with Wordpress SEO by Yoast, but I am not certain.

The title tag that is pulled into each page of the forum matches that of the primary forum page.

I am hoping to find a solution around this so that each page can be indexed with a unique (or at least relevant) title tag.

My site is:

Thank you for your help.

well, we have a bunch of folks, myself included that routinely use both...  so not a general problem but could be specific to your options...

the problem could be you are serving cached pages...  you cannot cache the wp page the forum is on... its dynamic in content and caching it will get wrong info...

in the w3tc options, for each type of caching your are using, be sure to add an exclusion for the wp page the forum is on...

once you stop serving cached pages, lets see if there is still an issue...

I just excluded page caching for the /forum directory but it looks like title tags stayed the same.

I disabled Wordpress SEO in my staging environment and isolated the issue to the plugin. I appreciate any other ideas you may have to solve the problem.
