mr papa i dont know if i found the problem but when i put the url that it is in the top of the page on my post it creates the big link and when i use the share link that youtube has it work good. do you know if thats the way it works? is there any way i can remove the white space?
and im not using jetpack, and i dont have any other plugins to insert youtube videos besides tinymce in wordpress

im trying to remove the white space under the video but i cannot find the css code to remove it,

Is your site by any chance using the 'Responsive' WP theme? I think it is and the problem here is that the WP theme seems to be embedding the padding inline in the div element that displays the video - and is basically putting too much padding in. So there would be no point adding anything to the stylesheet as the inline styling will always win out and override the CSS file.
I will give this some thought and investigate a little but you may need to bring this question up with the Resposvive theme team to determine the best way to fix the problem up.

OK - I have not delved too deeply into the code yet but I can tell you that this is all to do with enabling the ability to resize rather nicely and fluidly to different device real estate. At least that seems to be the suggestion I am looking at.

I pasted a youtube and vimeo link into the forum post and the videos are wider than the forum . Why dont the videos fit within the forum width ?

they typically do... wp made a mistake when they removed the size option... but more importantly, other plugins, such as jetpack mess up the width... any chance you are running jetpack? if not, can you give us a link to an example so we can examine the html/css?
