I don't think i changed anything that would stop a YouTube video link from playing in a Simple Press post. Any suggestions?

Unless you turned off the WP auto-embed option in the WP media settings. About the only thing that comes to mind.

Well I don't know where you got the link from but the embed link I get from that is:
http:// youtu.be / LGD7TNnDeSQ
(remove the spaces of course) which works. Embed urls are different to the urls you use to visit youtube.

Interesting.
I have always used the url line in the browser, minus any featured or other triggers. Maybe WordPress changed something on a recent update.

I will try and look at the WP code but am not aware of changes there or in SP for that matter. It might be that YouTube have changed to only allow auto embedding on the embed url. I guess the question is have you lost the link to other youtube videos?
