I have installed the Admin Bar plugin and this added to the top of my forum:

Hey TS Admin,
The elements you're describing are just labels. You should see a 'View New Posts' button on the very left side of the admin bar which you can click to expand the admin postbag - Showing you posts and allowing you to view, reply and moderate accordingly.
If you don't have any posts to moderate or look at, when you click 'View New Posts' you should be presented with the message 'There are no unread posts'. If you have a test user you could make a few posts to see how they show up.

OK. Remember that the admin bar also shows every single post made on the forum not just spam. It's very useful for making sure every post gets answered or at least viewed, and posts requiring moderation are highlighted via the admin bar allowing for quick moderation rather than just ending up in the new posts list.

And, FYI Only...you will not see posts from moderators and other forum admins in the queue. It took me a while to figure that out!

would you want to see posts from admins and mods? seems counter intuitive that they would be waiting for handling by admin/mod if made by one??? but open to thoughts....
