have they enabled it in their options? each admin or mod has an admin options panel at forum - admins - your admin options where they can turn it on or off...

Hi Mr Papa, i have the same issue, whereas the only users who can see the "View New Posts" or "Need Moderation" balloons at the top of the Forum is only those with Full Admin access. Whatever i have done to try and get my Moderators to see it doesn't work.

I did try what you suggested here:

have they enabled it in their options? each admin or mod has an admin options panel at forum – admins – your admin options where they can turn it on or off…

but couldn't find it (do i need ot allow moderators access to the WP Admin in order for this to be set?

Thanks,

Daniel.

Problem solved.

So it appears that one must enable the WP-Admin access in order for this to be set by the Moderator. I guess that doesn't make much sense, you would think it should be 1. Admin Bar will show as default to any Moderator  and 2. that you would be able to set it from the Front end rather allowing access to the WP Admin.

Still, it is working now, so its all good.

thanks,

Daniel.

It is, I suppose, the 'WordPress way' to allow users access to the admin side of things. By default users can always get to the dashboard and their profile. I know we have put tools in place to stop that - because so many users do not like that.
It's a good question and I will put it on our list for discussion.

in forum - admins - global admin options or forum - admins - you admin options... not sure which option you are looking for...

that would be in the wp admin, under the major group of forum and then subgrouping of admins...
