This is my storage location http://screencast.com/t/i7jJmbirs
Also this is my current priority settings http://screencast.com/t/WD5hyO6Ef
I checked my cpanel and all the avatar files are on my server.
Could this be a wordpress profile setting or can I use SP alone to setup my avatar?
what do you see in the avatar profile panel?? you have gravatars as the priority, so that will be displayed if it exists... and I think it will return a mystery man always...
so I would put uploaded avatars first if thats what you want to be the priority...

Is this what you are talking about? http://screencast.com/t/YoeXAjYDEbZb It gives the option to upload an avatar.
I set my priorities the way you told me too.
Ps. everything else is working great, I am just having trouble uploading an avatar.
broken link...
you have not explained what happens when you try to upload an avatar though...

On this panel, you may update your Avatar. Depending on Forum Admin settings, you may have multiple ways to select an Avatar.
Current Displayed Avatar
- Uploaded Avatar
- From gravatar.com
- Forum Default Avatars
- Upload An Avatar
Files accepted: GIF, PNG, JPG and JPEG
Maximum width displayed: 50 pixels
Maximum filesize: 10240 bytes
So I click browse and I find the photo.png file 50X50 pix and I click open.
The page seems to refresh itself and nothing happens. No warning no error or anything pops-up.
is the size of the image file less than the maximum filesize specified? its about 10k...
after you click the upload avatar button, you will get a status message just below it... does it say success or error? it will fade away...

you are confusing avatars and photos again... you are trying to upload an avatar... its settings are on forum - profile - avatars...
and the update message when you save?

so either reduce it, or increase the max filesize for avatars on your forum - profiles - avatars admin panel...
keep in mind if you allow display of large filesize avatars it will slow down page loading on the topic view... each user displays their avatar there... my avatar here is only 1.6k - quite small... 10k should be plenty for an avatar...
