Mr. Papa,

Ok .. I now have a hold of the problem that causing the simple:press forum software problems.

The situation is that a product named JetPACK Version 2.02 is the cause.

It causes the SP software to make a double copy of the forum and produce warning and fatal errors with the sp resoures plugin "subscription".

Now that this problem has been identified and repaired.

I still have the problem that the ability to choose to Subscribe by my subscribers is not visible when they either "add a topic" to Reply to a Topic "Quote" so I need help to make sure that I have turned on the correct features.

So here goes:

1) In the components for the forum .. I HAVE NOT TURN ON ANY OPTIONS .. should I?
2) In manage permissions.. full access mode .. I have highlighted the "Can subscribe to forums (if enabled) and topics"

Is there anything that I am missing or should be changed to solve the visibility problem to choose to subscribe?

Thanks,

Ed

I can't comment on any warnings/fatal errors as you have not told me what they are but the double display can usually be dealt with on the Integration > Page and Permalink admin panel by using one of the Display Options near the bottom.

on the other matter you say you have set the subscriptions on in the 'Full Access' permission set. Is this the permission set you have assigned to your members at forum level?

The warning and fatal errors were posted in other topics.   This problem has been solved.

Papa asked me to review the Integration>Page and Permalink panel and this did not solve the problem.

The problem was solved by me using my backup copy and completely replacing the existing software.

As for subscriptions .. all subscribers on my site have access to the "Full Access" Permission set.

As for your question "is this the permission set you have assigned to your members at forum level?  I do not understand your question but I set all members for my subscriber level which is the Full Access Level.

Go to Manage forums in the admin. On one of your forums click on the button on the right labelled 'View Forum Permissions'. Is the 'Full Access' permission set listed with the appropriate user group beside it in the list that opens up?
