As the topic states, what would be the best way to bring modifications on the editor, we're using it quiet happily but as one of our web masters discovered the update from this morning reset the editor to white which looks dodgy on our black forum. He did alter it but also spotted positioning changes - anything we can use in the theming for this our would that break the tinymce way of doing things?

please expand on what changed?? which update? do you just mean the last 5.0 beta update? there was no real change to tinymce.  the update to it simply added in the default theme because the provided theme was still referencing one image in the default theme... so it was a 404 image on that graphic which appeared in tinymce popups...  but other than correcting that missing file, the editor did not change...

if you want to change the tinymce skin, best place to start is probably tinymce itself:  http://www.tinymce.com/

if you look in the tinymce plugin and follow the path tinymce-plugin/tinymce/themes/advanced/skins is where you can add or edit skins...  and you can select a new skin by setting the skin in tinymce-plugin/tinymce/sp-tinymce-init.php

Right, we propably edited one of the default skins getting it overwritten then ... and one of the plugin updates overwrote it (obviously) 🙂

Tnx!

ah, you had already changed the tinymce skin? then yes, updating the sp tinymce plugins would have overwritten it... hmm.... will have a discussion with Andy to see if we can load the skin from an external location to prevent that.
