Hi everyone, I have just joined for 2 months, I love Simple press I've been using for the past 12 months but needed the newer plugins.
The first plugin I've installed isn't working properly. When I go to add my birthday, the calendar only goes to the end of this month, how to do I fix it, so it shows the months past this as my birthday is in August....I'm a little disappointed that it's not working...grrr...off to install the next plugin I need.

The idea is that you put your birth date in there. That's not, perhaps, that clear although that is, actually, your 'birthday'....

I try but the calendar opens up to select the date and it doesn't go past March, I will try again to see if I can just type the date format but it wouldn't let me before.

I've managed to do it, I have to select my birthday year and month, then it works,,,,,yay...it's me having a blonde moment, but maybe my members won't want to give the birth year. Thanks for your help. I've got a few other issues but I will post those shortly...sorrry...lol

Well... they could always lie about their age. A common enough practice I believe...!

Please can someone help me. I'd love to retrieve all the birthdays of my members so I can send them a congratulatory message at the appropriate time? A plugin to send out the message automatically would be ideal but since I can't get my hands around that for now, I would like a simple way to retrieve the birthdays.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A Users birthday - if they entered it in their profile - can be fiound in the WP UserMeta table with a user_id of the user in question and a meta_key of 'sp_birthday'. The meta_value column is, of course, the birth date.
