dateFormat: "yy-mm-dd",

line 55: 

update_user_meta($thisUser, 'sp_birthday', date_format($date, 'Y-m-d'));

I changed "dd-mm-yy" & "d-m-Y" to "yy-mm-dd" & "Y-m-d" as in the original file and it worked.

well, we certainly wouldnt change it to that...  that may be an acceptable date format for you, but not for a lot of the world...

there is a ticket open to see if we can use the other forum date settings for that one...  but need to make sure that the jquery datepicker library can support that...
