Another problem I found was that there is no link back to the BLOG from the forum topic post. On the blog side there is a "Join the Forum Discussion for this post" but there is no "View the original Blog page" link on the Forum topic.
I understand the "view the original blog page" link can be in the header of the forum topic but there is no link at all. On top of that there is no option in the Blog linking section to edit the display text for the Forum-to-blog link. I remember in the old blog linking plugin for SP4 there was an option to edit the display link for the Blog-to-forum link ("Join the forum Discussion on this post") AND an option to edit the display link for the forum-to-blog link ("view the original blog post").

first, you have to start thinking themes... that is where most display elements are controlled from...
so for the forum to blog link, you can put the template tag where ever you want the link to display and have it say whatever you want... our supplied themes put in the header though with different text than you say...
so its in the spTopicView.php template file... look for:
if (function_exists('sp_TopicHeaderShowBlogLink')) sp_TopicHeaderShowBlogLink('', __sp('Read the original blog post'), __sp('Click to goto original blog post'));
now as to it not being a link, I cannot duplicate that... its a link for me... do you have a link to your site?
