still trying to understand how a wp user doesnt exist in those notices...  could explain why a post isnt created...  but could also just be a red herring notice related to the error you saw and we see occasionally that appears to be a currently unknown second sneak path through the logic.. Whenever that other occurs, its after the linked topic has already been created...
