uploaded new version 0.94...
try to normalize and be specific on avatar sizing when passing them between BP and SP... hopefully, helps js issue of fuzzy avatars... keep in mind if the starting avatar is small, and BP or SP is going to increase the size, quality will look poor...

I don't have a link atm, dev site needs to be rebuilt so I've been testing the avatar issue on a live site . It's weird the fuzziness is a bit less but still there. I am having sp use the bp avatars and I have the bp avatars at the default of 150px and sp set at 90px so I'm sizing down not up. I tried changing sp size to smaller and when I set sp to 50px the fuzziness disappears... Inside the bp profiles there is the main avatar shown in member-header.php which is default 150px and then there is a 50px default version shown in the activity stream next to a users activities... maybe your pulling the bp activity avatar into sp?
I am not sure if it is related, but when I activated BuddyPress plugin, my forum disappeared.
version 0.95 now available... minor cleanups, but did add new feature too.. if you are using the math question spam prevention or the captcha on the wp registration form, it will now show up too on the buddypress register page...

Well that is just a slightly different flavour of the same issue. I would suggest starting by taking a look in your php error log to see if there were any errors reported preceding the memory shortage...
Additionally - and my own knowledge of BuddyPress is absolute zero so my knowledge is limited - but as I understand it there are other third-party plugins that also interact with BP. If you have one of those it might be that we are in conflict with that. Deactivating it to see if that resolves the issue would help us with something to investigate.
