so gravatars work vs monster id? would really know the setting or bp to wp (and vice versa) avatar sharing... as I said, could be a race condition or endless loop trying to share...

I set it up the way I did because people sign up through BP. Since I set MonsterID as the default, I wanted to maintain consistency as much as possible. I guess uploaded should be first, then WP... or maybe Gravatars next, then WP, then let SP figure it out if it gets that far?

I figured I'd give it a shot, and nothing blew up. They're in this order now. Does that sound like it accomplishes my goal?
- Uploaded Avatar
- Gravatars
- WP Avatars
- SP Default Avatars

doesnt really answer the question of what avatars people are using in BP... I think you can only upload in BP, right? or maybe use wp?
keep in mind for the sp avatar priorities, the uploaded avatar means 'uploaded in the forum'... wont know anything about an uploaded avatar in BP or WP (if using plugin)...
also, on forum - components - buddypress, you need to decide what to do between BP and SP for avatars... if you want to use BP uploaded or WP monsters, I would set the forum option to use BP, set the avatar priority to SP default only... then set wp to monster...
make sense?

I have it set to use BP avatars for both. So I guess that would include uploaded avatars in BP? WP is still MonsterID. But if I set the avatar priority to SP default, won't that take precedence and negate the BP avatar? Or is that already determined in the BP plugin?

if on forum - components - buddypress you said to use BP for both BP and SP, the SP one is irrelevant, so make the avatar priority as simple as possible, sp default...
this plugin will force SP to use BP (if you have the options set that way)...
