No matter what I try, I cannot replicate this behavior...  the links work correctly for users with spaces in the user login name no matter what I try...  both new users and existing users properly have the nicename with the dash (-) in them...

any more info you can provide?  is your sp bp plugin up to date?  any special BP plugins for registration, users or other?

I have found another issue related to permissions.

We have our admin forums within our forums that normal members cannot see. But posts made in admin forums also end up in the buddypress activity stream for everyone to see. Some method to control this behaviour in individual forums is required.

Also, I do not see any wp admin bar links for the forums even after enabling them.

On the BuddyPress side I am going to have to confer with Mr Papa who knows that area but sadly is going to be away today on a business trip. Back Tuesday but hopefully might see this before he goes if he has time and may give ma an answer...

On the other question you specifically say the WP Admin Bar and Simple:Press makes no use of the WP Admin Bar whatsoever so I am not sure what 'links' you are expecting... Can you explain some more?

Yes, going to need more info... This was confirmed working by multiple users... Know because we recently fixed an issue where if you deleted a private post, it would suddenly show in the activity stream. But otherwise it was hidden properly... Now, we are not buddypress users hence the request for more  info...

Private forum posts will show in your stream since you can view but not in the all activity stream... Where are you seeing them?

The private forum posts become visible n the sitewide activity stream

http://problem-with-post-edit-...../activity/

The plugin doc says

In this section, you can choose which forum links you want to add to the WP Admin Bar BuddyPress section and to the BuddyBar. The options shown will depend on which SP plugins you have activated. Possible links are: to main site, SP profile, new forum posts, new PMs, new subscribed topics, new watched topics, topics started and topics posted in.

Despite activating all of them, no links get added to the wp-admin bar. Am I missing something?

I absolutely cannot replicate this... and as I said, multiple users confirmed its working right...

so couple questions...

latest version of our bp plugin?

and you are viewing the main activity stream a guest or user that cannot see the private forum?

as to the bar, you can either use the buddybar or the wp admin bar... which are you using?  of course, to use the buddybar, you have to configure it in your wp config per buddypress with

define( 'BP_USE_WP_ADMIN_BAR', false );

otherwise the wp admin bar is used...  and it will appear in the upper right of the wp admin bar under the Howdy yourname with the rest of the buddypress stuff...

Hi there,

I activated my buddypress plugin for simple:press and got this message right after:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function bp_notifications_delete_all_notifications_by_type() in /problem-with-post-edit-buttonome/berserkgames/public_html/wp-content/sp-resources/forum-plugins/buddypress/library/sp-buddypress-notifications.php on line 16

This is also preventing me from accessing any other section in my admin dashboard.

Any help on how I can fix this would be appreciated asap.

Thanks!

Haha oops. I just clicked on it and only replied since I saw it was still active :P

I just installed both plugins yesterday, so I do have the latest of both:

buddypress v1.9.1

and

buddypress v1.1.1

Thank you!

in bp 1.9.1, bp_notifications_delete_all_notifications_by_type() is clearly defined, so not sure why you would get such an message... you do have the wp bp plugin active, right?
