Yes, I first activated buddy press in Wordpress. And aftewards, activated the plug-in from Simple:Press. Then I got that error. If you know of a way I can edit the file or whatever to fix this, it'd be great, as I can't access anything else in my admin panel now and I don't want to mess with anything unless I know for sure.

still have no idea what, if anything, needs to be fixed... we have a bunch of users using our buddypress plugin without this issue... that function is an integral part of wp bp 1.9 but did not exist in the previous versions...
so this occurred just by activating?
to get around it temporarily, on your server, go to the simple press plugins directory and rename the sp buddypress pluign directory to buddypresszzz or something... that should keep it from running further...
