Hello!

I've been running a simple press forum for a while and now I'm trying to install the captcha-plugin but my wordpress say the file's invalid. Anyone had this problem before?

Can we check that you are attempting to install the SP plugin in the correct place and not in the WordPress plugin location? Deatils here: http://codex.simple-press.com/.....g-plugins/

Do you mean the forum admin panels? You should have a 'Forum' entry option in the middle of your WordPress admin menus?

Your regular Wordpress Admin page will have a "Forum" option on the left link bar, if you hover over that link it will bring up a menu in which you can select "Plugins" and from there, "Plugin Uploader" - specifically for Simple Press.

When I hoover over "Forum" I only have new forums and all forums. Why could that be?

'New Forums' and 'All Forums' ? These are not standard items in the Simple:Press admin menu. It should look more or less like the attached image - as long as you as a user ARE defined as a Simple:Press 'Admin' user that is...

A user must be an SP admin to see the Admin panels... An SP admin is not the same thing as a WP admin... Any user can be an SP admin which is useful for many users of SP who let their users be forum admins but thus don't have WP site admin capabilities..

Initially only the WP user (or WP admin) who installed Simple:Press will be an SP admin... More can be added on forum > admins > manage admins by this initial SP admin...

If you have no SP admins defined (say you deleted the initial one) then any WP admin is granted access... So you must still have one SP admin user remaining...  Log in with that user and add more admins...

But I remain most curious about these two items you mention - 'New Forums' and 'All Forums' . I would like to know where you are seeing these and where they come from...
