Database import from Website Toolbox export.

Does anyone know how to import the CSV file of the database export from Website Toolbox? The import plugin doesn't mention that it supports Website Toolbox.

I am a relatively new user and I'd really appreciate the help.

In brief I'm currently using the Website Toolbox Forum (1.0.0) plugin and also have Simple:Press 5 (5.2.6) installed as well as the Simple:Press V5 Importer Framework (2.4.1). I want to import my data into Simple:Press and then deactivate Website Toolbox Forum.

I'm hoping that someone either has done this or can explain to me how to accomplish this.

Thank you in advance.

Website Toolbox is a forum plug-in for WordPress. The website is http://www.websitetoolbox.com/

I have exported the database of forum members from Website Toolbox, but the Simple:Press importer does not support it.

That is not a third party forum that we currently support with our forum importer...  Andy does the importer here (I should really learn how it works) so will let him respond as to whether or not that is one we want to consider for the future...

We looked at your importer information and this is what it says:

If your source forum is not listed
if your source forum is not available for import then we may be able to create an importer. We would usually require a copy of the source database (as a mySQL dump) for data mapping and testing. Any such database supplied is never made public and is destroyed when the importer has been confirmed to work successfully.

Can we get you the required info and have you help us create an importer for Website Toolbox? This is about 99% why we went with the Gold Membership so that we could have the importer and make this transfer work.

We have a lot of members and other info that would be so nice to have converted rather than having to start from scratch.

Thanks for any help!!

Always willing to look. That's not a promise to create an importer as we have seen one or two databases that would just never fit into our engine. But happy to take a look at your database.

Zip it up and send it to support at simple-press dot com....

Sorry - we have no option currently for csv import (or XML as yet either).
I do need the database tables.

So there is nothing we can do to import them? You still need the database tables though? I'm kind of confused as to whether you could possibly make it work or not by needing the database tables. Thanks!

Well (a) our importer is built around importing the source data from a database only. And (b) as I have never seen one of these particular forum database schemas before, then until I do, I have no idea on how easy it would be to create the mapping script.

I have never heard of thus plugin before but if it is, as you say, a WordPress plugin then the data should be available ion the original database. In fact you should already have the base WP user table data...
