good evening mr Pappa,

no unfortunately the forum is not yet running.

when connecting to the forum the following shows: Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 90 seconds exceeded in /problem-with-post-edit-buttonome/sainfodi/public_html/justmail.za.net/wp-content/plugins/simple-forum/library/sf-database.php on line 1658

OR

1662 WHEN RERUN

(in line 1658 of above - it is blank without any code in that line)

In previous installs - those of 451 and 423 colums in

`wp_sftrack`

(eg forum_id) the database were missing.

With 413 install there are no colums missing for

`wp_sftrack`

.

BEFORE UPGRADING TO 413:

For the 410 install column "trackuserID" of

`wp_sftrack`

.contains only "0"s  and column "trackname" the IP addresses. for each row of information.

In

`wp_sftrack`

the "id" colums has id's running from "154289" to "154389"  WITH NUMBERS MISSING INBETWEEN. - there are in total 25 rows of information.

AND IN

`wp_sfmembers`

the first record is for '1' as ISERID and , 'admin' admin as display name.

the next record is '1373' 'barnetty'

HOWEVER:  as userid the above 1373 runs up to 1394 AND THEN continious as follows 2,3,4,etc. up to 1485 on page 50.

on page 50 of this table the last number is 1485.  IN OTHERWORDS NOT IN NUMERICAL SEQUENCE - SHOULD IT??

AFTER UPGRADING TO 413 -

In

`wp_sftrack`

ONLY 1 item left the "id" 154393, trackuserid "1"   and trackname admin.

(after rerunning more lines appeared)

When running Forum after upgrade it gives:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 90 seconds exceeded in /problem-with-post-edit-buttonome/sainfodi/public_html/justmail.za.net/wp-content/plugins/simple-forum/library/sf-database.php on line 1662

below quote from sf-database.php

1658

1659            # create where clause based on forums that current user can view

1660

1661            $list = explode('@', $list);

1662

1663           $where = " WHERE ".SFPERMISSIONS.".forum_id IN (" . implode(",", $forum_ids) . ") ";

(it looks as if there is a missing column since there is no forum_id in

`wp_sftrack`

)

NOTE:  there is no forum_id     in

`wp_sftrack`

  of 413 although in the upgrade to 451 I had to insert it manually.

Mr Pappa is there not an upgrade 411 or  412 which I can try to follow the upgrade path since I really need to get the Forum going again.

PLEASE ASSIST

Kind Regards

good day Mr. Pappa.

As I said afore the forum is not yet running again.

I downloaded 413 and upgraded using IE - it did not want to upgrade in Firefox.

Still get error:Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 90 seconds exceeded in /problem-with-post-edit-buttonome/sainfodi/public_html/justmail.za.net/wp-content/plugins/simple-forum/library/sf-database.php on line 1658

Extract from sf-database.php on those line numbers:            }

            # create where clause based on forums that current user can view

            $list = explode('@', $list);

            $where = " WHERE ".SFPERMISSIONS.".forum_id IN (" . implode(",", $forum_ids) . ") ";

On upgrade to 451 it looked for column:

$forum_ids

in`wp_sftrack`

of the database.

This column is not in  `wp_sftrack`

Perhaps I should upgrade from 410, to 411 to 412 if those upgrades are available.

please assist since I am getting desperate.

Kind regards

You did not answer my question in post 12 above which was a rational suggestion.

good day again, mr Pappa,

(THIS IS FOR UPGRADE TO 413)

form the above:

Still get error:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 90 seconds exceeded in /problem-with-post-edit-buttonome/sainfodi/public_html/justmail.za.net/wp-content/plugins/simple-forum/library/sf-database.php on line 1658

            $where = " WHERE ".SFPERMISSIONS.".forum_id IN (" . implode(",", $forum_ids) . ") ";

AND

$forum_ids

in`wp_sftrack`

of the database.

This column is not in  `wp_sftrack`

I do not know if `wp_sftrack` requires column forum_ids

should I add such into `wp_sftrack` , and if so what infor should I add to it - AND IS IT forum_ids OR forum_id

thanking you for trying to help me.

As soon as I get 413 to work I want to upgrade all the way, in steps, to 5, if you will let me have that download.

the total wordpress gzip database is 32mb, is there a way that I could exctract or backup only the SPF database file so as to send it to you to have a look at.

Kind regards

OK this is good.

Now - this is my suggestion. With your working 4.1.0 system, go to the forum admin > Toolbox. It will tell you there exactly what Version and Build are being used.

You reply here and tell me what those numbers are AND what version you are trying to upgrade to and before you try again I will look at the upgrade script for that version to see if I can locate why there is this problem.

Thanks mr Pappa,

the block with the information is below.

the version I want to upgrade to is 413, then all the way to 5.

or go to 5 straight away!, if possible.

I reinstated 410 which I had as a zipfile on the server.

re-instated the database - and activated 410. activation OK BUT

A problem was perhaps lurking all the time since, with the db backed up as shown below in the table,

I now get the following error when running 410.Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 90 seconds exceeded in /problem-with-post-edit-buttonome/sainfodi/public_html/justmail.za.net/wp-content/plugins/simple-forum/library/sf-database.php on line 1656

A problem was perhaps lurking all the time since, with the db backed up as shown below in the table, and now reinstated I nowget the above error.

I downloaded 451 on 12/01/2012 but before installation upgraded to wp 3.3

then I downloaded 435 then 423, then 413.

As a note.:

even with the plugin deleted when trying to "upgrade"from 451 to 435 and the same with 435 to 423, this message appeared:

Upgrade Simple:Press Forum From Version 4.5.1 to 4.2.3 - (Build 6401 to Build 3750) (if that would have any bearing on the problem)

Please have a look - perhaps I need to change column names and insert new colums - or whatever it takes,to get the SPF going again.

(i cannot enter any contents below the table below since my cursor gets stuck in the table below) BUT THANKING YOU VERY MUCH FOR ASSISTING

OK - 2 questions:

  1. Is this the ONLY error you get with version 4.1.0 ?
  2. Is your WP still at version 3.3 ?
