So i downloaded the importer now i cant find any instructions on how to get to it and use it any help guys? I want to import my mingle forum to simple-press thanx!

Activate it and it should appear in the SP menu at the bottom

If you are using FTP you download the file from here then upload the file to your "\wp-content\plugins" folder. Once the upload is complete go into your plugins in Wordpress and you see it listed there to activate. From there follow the selects for what you are importing.
Just a forewarning, not sure how Mingle will come through, but our bbphp came through with the URLs, smilies codes, and bbcode mangled. However that is common for importers from what I can tell.

I imported from Mingle and it all worked like a dream. It did not take over things like subscriptions though but that is a different logic in the two systems.

hmmm i see maybe it was becuase i uploaded it through wordpress maybe thats why it didnt work?

Be very careful with that info in the future, that file contains the username and password to directly access your server's SQL database in which someone to do very nasty things. I highly doubt the information there is correct since it is the portion "ExampleDB_NAME" is the name and username is "ExampleDB_USER" ext.
If you have a host like godaddy you can get the information from you account on their site. Beyond that someone else here my be able to give ya a hand since I don't know mingle well.
